Litchfield’s Central Park Music Schedule
Music in Litchfield’s Central Park is scheduled for Thursday evenings from 6-to-8 p.m. most of the weeks throughout the summer. It will begin June 6th as Todd Anderson will perform with a Neil Diamond tribute.
Darlene Kotelnicki says Todd was in Litchfield last year with an Elvis tribute, and the Litchfield Baseball Association will serve ballpark food the evening of June 6th in Central Park. She says the ‘57 Chevy Band will perform on June 13th which is the Watercade Brat Feed evening; the Marshall Star Band performs on June 20th with the Forest City Threshers serving food; and Terry Shaw and his daughter, Drea, perform on June 27th with free ice cream cones served by the Meeker County American Dairy Association.
Kotelnicki says Bob & the Beachcombers will perform during Watercade on July 11th with food served by the School of St. Philip; the cast of “Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” is singing on July 18th with the Litchfield Student Anglers serving food; and All Good Company will perform on July 25th with food served by the Ladies of the G.A.R. She says Acoustic Relativity performs on August 8th with food served by the Little Red Schoolhouse board; the Everett Smithson Band performs on August 15th with food served by LAMP; the Kingery Family will perform on August 22nd with food served by Youth for Christ; and Flannel Plaid will perform on August 29th with the Litchfield Downtown Council serving food.
Betty Allen says the August 29th concert will be a tribute to the local EMS and law enforcement and last year the final concert was used to honor veterans and they raised $1,000 for the Veterans Council. She says if it rains on any of the Thursdays, the concerts will be held at the Opera House and announcements will be made regarding that by 3 p.m. on KLFD each Thursday. No concerts are scheduled for July 4th or for August 1st (during the Meeker County Fair).
