2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 12

The Minnesota State Patrol responded to a 2-vehicle crash on Highway 12 between Grove City and Litchfield on Wednesday afternoon at 3:16.  The accident occurred at milepost 95. 

A 2019 Subaru Outback – driven by 46-year-old Crystal Hendrix Daigle of Kandiyoyi – was eastbound on Highway 12 and a 2021 Ford Explorer – driven by 35-year-old Jenna Rae Grotto of Grove City – was westbound on Highway 12 when the vehicles collided.  The road was covered in ice and snow at the time of the crash.

Daigle received non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to CentraCare in Willmar.  Grotto was taken to Meeker Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  Two boys in Grotto’s vehicle – ages 8 and 2 – were not injured.  Also responding to the scene were Litchfield Fire/Rescue, Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, Cosmos Ambulance, Mayo Ambulance and Atwater Ambulance.
