Many Christmas Related Events This Saturday
One of the busiest days of the year in Meeker County is approaching on Saturday, December 6th. There will be church fundraisers and other special Christmas-related events.
The 16th annual Little Red Schoolhouse Holiday Craft Sale will be on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Beckville Lutheran Church at 20521 600th Avenue – south of Litchfield. There will be a wide variety of crafts and baked goods. Everyone who attends will qualify for the drawing of a large poinsettia.
Christmas at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon in the church fellowship hall. Brunch is $13 for adults, $6 for children 10 and under, and $4 for a roll and coffee – with take-outs available. There will be pre-packaged decorative cookies, candy, ethnic goodies – including lefse, a bake sale, quilts, crafts, cards, napkins and more.
The 23rd annual Christmas Trees & Traditions “Jesus, the Light of the World” will be held at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson on Saturday from 9-to-2. There will be decorated trees, quilts, table settings, a gift shop, baked goods, silent auction, live musical performances, refreshments, demonstrations and more. A soup and sandwich lunch will be available from 11-to-1 for $7.
The Pioneer Christmas at the Forest City Stockade will be held on Saturday from 11-to-5. Admission is $5 for adults and free for children 12 and under.
The Litchfield Area Writers Group members will read selections from their new book “Let Your Light Shine” on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the G.A.R. Hall in Litchfield. Refreshments will be served after the program. Everyone’s welcome!
The Holiday Singers Showcase will be held in the Bernie Aaker Auditorium on Saturday at 7 p.m.
