Meeker County Historical Society Fair Booth
Members of the Meeker County Historical Society have a booth again this year at the Meeker County Fair. Visitors can see interesting artifacts at the booth and learn more about the museum in Litchfield.
G.A.R. Hall and Meeker County Museum Executive Director Danelle Erickson says the museum at 308 North Marshall Avenue has had several tourists stop in this summer and they’re looking forward to having the Antique Car Run participants stop in on August 12th. She says they will host another Civil War Roundtable meeting on August 10th at 1:30 p.m.
Erickson says there are annual dues to be in the Civil War Roundtable, but anyone may attend by paying the $3 museum admission fee. She says the Civil War Spy Mystery will be underway at the Museum August 12th through the 19th which is sort of like an escape room.
Erickson says the Meeker County Museum is part of Explore Minnesota’s Family Fun Passport and there’s more information about that on the Explore Minnesota website. She says the Meeker County Museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10-to-4 and Saturdays from noon-to-4, and monetary donations to 308 North Marshall Avenue are welcome any time.
