Motor Vehicle/ATV Side-by-Side Crash in Forest Prairie Township

On Wednesday at 7:26 P.M., the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries involving a car and an ATV side-by-side.  The crash occurred in the 35900 block of CSAH 34 in Forest Prairie Township.  Meeker County Deputies, Eden Valley Fire, Eden Valley Rescue, Mayo Ambulance, Watkins Ambulance, the MN State Patrol, and Lifelink III Air Ambulance responded to the scene.  Upon arrival, deputies learned that a 16-year-old from Litchfield was driving north on CSAH 34 when the juvenile driver struck an ATV side-by-side that was also traveling north on CSAH 34. The ATV side-by-side was driven by 61-year-old Daniel Sullivan of rural Watkins, with a passenger, 61-year-old Janet Sullivan of rural Watkins.  Daniel Sullivan was transported by Lifelink Helicopter to St. Cloud Hospital with serious injuries.  Janet Sullivan was transported by Mayo Ambulance to the St. Cloud Hospital with non-serious injuries.  The juvenile driver was not injured as a result of the crash.  The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
