Motor Vehicle Pursuit

On Wednesday, June 11th around 10:54 am, CEE-VI Task Force Agents were involved in a motor vehicle pursuit with a party who had outstanding warrants for his arrest. The pursuit started near Spicer in the 9700 block of Co Rd 9 E and Agents discontinued the pursuit near the intersection of Co Rd 5 and Co Rd 29 as the driver was driving recklessly going off road and the marked patrol units were not close to the area at that time.
Agents located the vehicle later in the day at a residence near the location where the initial pursuit began and learned that the party in question had fled on foot into the woods and then out to an island on a pond near the residence. Eventually the driver, a 48-year-old Spicer man, came back to dry land and was taken into custody on the outstanding warrants and fleeing charges.
The CEE-VI Task Force was assisted in this case by the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office.
