Motorcycle Crashes
The Minnesota State Patrol responded to a couple of motorcycle crashes on Sunday afternoon. The first one involved two men from Litchfield in Pope County, and the other one involved a Howard Lake man in Kimball.
At 1:10 Sunday afternoon, two Harley-Davidson motorcycles were both westbound on Highway 55 in Pope County at County Road 23 in Chippewa Falls Township when they collided. They were driven by 47-year-old Jeramie Anthony Linsmeier of Litchfield and by 49-year-old Joel Christopher Engler of Litchfield. Linsmeier received non-life-threatening injuries, but was not transported to the hospital. Engler received non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Glacial Ridge Hospital. Neither man was wearing a helmet.
At 4:45 Sunday afternoon, 36-year-old Jared Patrick Bakeberg of Howard Lake was driving a 2004 Yamaha motorcycle westbound on Highway 55 at Maus Drive in Kimball, had a mechanical issue and crashed. He was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Bakeberg was not wearing a helmet.
