National Library Week

National Library Week is being observed April 7th through the 12th with the theme: Drawn to the Library. Stop in to any of the four Meeker County locations – Litchfield, Dassel, Grove City or Cosmos – to draw or write why you’re drawn to visit the library.
Events at the Litchfield Public Library in April include Baby/Toddler Storytime Wednesdays from 10:15-to-10:45 a.m.; Preschool Storytime Fridays from 10-to-11 a.m.; Teen Dungeons & Dragons on Tuesday, April 1st from 4-to-6 p.m.; Alzheimer’s Disease: What It Is & What Can Be Done, presented by Joseph Gaugler, PhD, from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and the Minnesota River Area Agency on Aging on Thursday, April 3rd at 2 p.m.; Adult Book Club: The Lincoln Highway on Tuesday, April 8th at noon; LEGO Night on Tuesday, April 8th from 6:30-to-7:30 p.m.; Crafterdark – bring-your-own craft program for adults – on Wednesday, April 9th from 6:30-to-7:30 p.m.; Teen Program on Saturday, April 12th at 1:30 p.m.; Kids Craft Club on Tuesday, April 15th from 4-to-5 p.m.; Mystery Book Club on Wednesday, April 16th at 7 p.m.; Knitting Club on Thursday, April 17th from 12:30-to-1:30 p.m.; Adult Arts & Crafts – registration required – on Thursday, April 24th at 6:30 p.m.; and Friends of the Litchfield Library meeting on Tuesday, April 29th at 4 p.m.
In Dassel, story hour is Fridays at 10 a.m., Dassel Friends of the Library meeting on Tuesday, April 1st at 6 p.m.; Adult Book Club: The Midnight Library on Monday, April 22nd at 1 p.m.; and there’s Poems for a Pickle all month.
In Grove City, Crafternoon is on Thursdays from 3-to-5 p.m. – bring-your-own craft program;
Story Time Tuesday, April 8th at 2 p.m.; Diamond Art – registration required – on Thursday, April 10th at 3 p.m.; ATGC Book Club at the Atwater Library: Presentation by author Douglas Knick on Tuesday, April 15th at 7 p.m.; and Knitting Club on Thursday, April 17th from 4-to-5 p.m.
