November is Home Care and Hospice Month for Ecumen of Litchfield
November is Home Care and Hospice month. Ecumen of Litchfield will be recognizing its staff and clients in special ways this month.
Brittany Schutz says Ecumen and Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home will have a Remembrance Service on November 21st at 5:30 p.m. – especially for people who’ve lost loved ones in the past year and you can call Erin at Johnson-Hagglund at 693-8151 if you would like to attend. She says November is a nice time to reflect on the Hospice clients.
Schutz says the Light of Love ceremony is coming up on December 2nd by the Darwin Twine Ball and people may purchase a light on the tree in memory of a loved one. Call 693-7367 for more information about the Light of Love fundraiser or about Home Care and Hospice.
Dawn Doty from Ecumen’s Adult Day services says Adult Day is $17 per hour which includes a noon meal, snacks and activities and they also have bathing services available. She says they are doing their Socks for Seniors campaign again this year.
Doty says they have an adopt-a-grandparent tree at Ecumen and people can purchase a gift for one of their residents and return it by December 15th. She says there are so many volunteer opportunities at Ecumen and if anyone is interested in becoming a volunteer, or for more information about the Adult Day program, call her at 320-373-6627.
