Peanut Butter & Milk Festival Committee Meeting
The Peanut Butter & Milk Festival Committee met on Tuesday evening. The group is getting ready to select delegates to travel to Hartford, Alabama in November for the annual sister-city exchange trip.
Student applications need to be turned in to FFA Advisor Rob Cole at Litchfield High School by April 4th. Student applicants will be interviewed on April 14th and those selected will need to help with the Committee’s summer fundraising activities.
Adults who have an interest in chaperoning the students should get an application from Terri Anderson. The adults who are selected are required to pay $200 each for their portion of the airfare to and from Alabama. Meeker County Dairy Princess Claudia Frenchick is also planning to be part of the trip this year which will be from November 7th through the 14th.
The Peanut Butter & Milk Festival Committee will be helping during the Center Bank Brat Feed on July 9th during the Litchfield Watercade celebration and will cover some of the shifts at the Moo Booth during the Meeker County Fair. Committee members may also be helping with the annual meeting dinner on May 20th at Meeker Energy.
The next Peanut Butter & Milk Festival Committee meeting will be on Tuesday, April 14th, at 7 p.m. in the Litchfield High School Ag room. This is a week earlier than the normal 3rd Tuesday meeting due to a conflict with the FFA State Convention. The annual meeting will follow that same evening – April 14th – immediately after the regular meeting. Everyone is welcome.
