Peanut Butter & Milk Festival Committee Meeting Update

The Peanut Butter & Milk Festival Committee met Tuesday evening and reviewed the events from the 53rd annual Festival which was held the first week of February. The Festival was a big success.
Treasurer Loree Schultz reported that the Chili & Soup Supper was well-attended, with $346 in freewill donations, and the Potluck Banquet was also well-attended, with the silent auction raising $1,476. She says the group had a great tour of the State Capitol with Brian Pease on February 5th, and had to get around the protesters that day to get into the building.
Student delegates have until April 4th for a chance to travel to Alabama in November. The students will be interviewed prior to the April 15th Peanut Butter & Milk Festival Committee meeting. That meeting will be followed by the annual meeting where officers will be elected.
The Committee approved of sending a $100 donation to the Forest City Threshers for use of their building on February 3rd for the Chili/Soup Supper. Committee members will be signing up during the next couple of meetings to help during Center Bank’s Watercade Brat Feed and at the Dairy Booth at the Meeker County Fair this summer. The Peanut Butter & Milk Festival Committee will meet next on Tuesday, April 15th at 7 p.m. in the Litchfield High School Ag Room. The regular meeting will be followed immediately by the annual meeting. Everyone is welcome.
