Pistons and Props Car Show/Business Expo
The Pistons and Props Car Show/Business Expo will be held at the Litchfield Municipal Airport – south of Litchfield on Highway 22 – on August 9th from 10-to-2. There will be food trucks, the Lions pancake breakfast and burgers, airplanes flying in, prizes and more.
Andy Miller says the event has been coordinated by Miller Automotive, Simms Napa Auto Parts of Litchfield and Cokato and by Farm Bureau. He says the Lions breakfast will get started before the car show – at 8 a.m., and then the Lions will serve burgers as the day progresses. He says there will be a demonstration of the jaws-of-life by the Litchfield Rescue Squad and a couple of monster trucks.
Mike Niedzielski from Farm Bureau the idea for this event began back in October during a gathering at Prospects. He says you can register to win prizes – including a $1500 vacation package – at the Farm Bureau tent after you have filled out a passport which you will get stamped by visiting each of the vendors.
Niedzielski says there will also be a bean bag tournament and mini golf and you can find more details about the event on social media. Mitch Simmons says there will be food trucks and vendors at the Pistons & Props event on August 9th and admission is free. He says by filling out a passport and then visiting the various vendors, you will get to learn about businesses that you maybe didn’t know existed.
Simmons says the Saturday Night Cruisers of Hutchinson are helping them with setting up the event, and they are already planning for next year’s Litchfield Pistons & Props. He says you can also win a chance to fly in an airplane.
