Rainbow Singers 50th Anniversary Fall Concert
The Rainbow Singers will have a special 50th anniversary fall concert on November 8th from 3-to-4:30 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Litchfield. The group was started in 1976.
Robbie Brown says the group of local women who enjoyed singing called themselves the Eden Valley Choralaires when they began and the group has included women from Dassel to Grove City and Eden Valley to Litchfield over the years with various directors, including the current director Aubrey Lindquist. She says the group reorganized and became the Rainbow Singers in 2007, but the number of members has dwindled in recent years and they could use new singers.
Brown says the Rainbow Singers are usually active from May to October and they rehearse each Thursday evening from 7-to-8 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Litchfield. She says the concert on November 8th will include special musical guests Keith Johnson and Jackie Dennin and a reception will be held after the concert. The Rainbow Singers perform all kinds of music including sacred, pop, country and show tunes. It’s a free concert, but an offering will be taken to offset expenses.
