Shepherd of Souls Area Faith Community Upcoming September Events

The Shepherd of Souls Area Faith Community had a busy weekend with both the St. Philip’s Church Bazaar in Litchfield and the Fall Festival at the Church of St. Anthony in Watkins yesterday. The next two Sundays will include two more events at area churches.

Area Faith Community Events Coordinator Monica Schreiber says the St. John’s Catholic Church Fall Festival is coming up on Sunday, September 15th, from 11-to-3 at the St. John’s Education Center at 17260 U.S. Highway 12 – west of Cokato. She says there will be smoked pulled pork, hot dogs, a meat raffle, cash and quilt raffle drawings, kid’s games, a garden stand and a bake sale.

Schreiber says the Grilled Smoked Pork Chop Supper & Raffle at the Church of Our Lady in Manannah will be on Sunday, September 22nd, from 4-to-7 p.m. She says the menu includes grilled smoked pork chops, au gratin potatoes, corn, bread and dessert.

Schreiber says the cost for the meal in Manannah is $15 for adults, $6 for children 6-to-12 and free for children under 5. She says there will also be a country store and a raffle drawing.
