Sheriff Cruze 2025 Report
Meeker County Sheriff Brian Cruze has compiled his report for 2025 and it should be available soon on the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office website. He says the numbers are fairly level with some crimes up and some down.
Sheriff Cruze says assaults, domestic assaults, criminal sexual crimes, fraud and scams are up, while burglaries, disorderly conduct and civil matters have dropped in 2025 compared to the previous year. He says they have had an 11% increase in calls for service which was over 10,000 in 2025, traffic citations are up – especially for speeding – by 30% and DUIs were up from 46 in 2024 to 71 in 2025.
Sheriff Cruze says there were no homicides in 2025. He says the Drug Task Force made 51 arrests in Meeker County in 2025 and they seized 2 and ½ pounds of meth and 47 pounds of marijuana.
Sheriff Cruze says the remodeling project at the Law Enforcement Center was completed in 2025 so they had a well-attended open house at the end of October, and they also introduced a new community notification system by the end of 2025. He says ICE has been in the area a few times this past month, but they just do what they’ve always done as they are arresting criminals on a removal list, and unfortunately their work has turned into a political issue with lots of misinformation.
