Single Vehicle Crash in Litchfield Township

At 12:05 this morning, the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a crash at the intersection of CSAH 1 and 255th Street in Litchfield Township. A pickup truck driven by 40-year-old Daniel Minton of rural Litchfield was located off the roadway having sustained heavy damage from impact with a row of trees. The driver and sole occupant were transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. Alcohol is believed to be a factor and the incident remains under investigation.  Assisting at the scene were Mayo Ambulance, Litchfield Fire, Litchfield Rescue, and Litchfield Police.
