St. Philip’s School Busy with Many Activities
St. Philip’s Catholic School in Litchfield had a visit yesterday from veterans as Veteran’s Day was observed. The students at the school gather each morning at the flagpole to say the Pledge of Allegiance and to pray.
Principal Andrea Dietrich says St. Philip’s School is collecting food this month to donate to the Meeker Area Food Shelf. She says there are 57 students enrolled in grades K-through-5 right now and new students are welcome to transfer into the school at any time of the year.
Dietrich says the students at St. Philip’s School will have a St. Nicholas celebration on December 6th from 4-to-6 p.m. with crafts, activities and a photo opportunity, and anyone is welcome to attend. She says there’s a Christmas program coming up at St. Philip’s Catholic Church in conjunction with the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 12th at 1 and 6 p.m. and everyone is welcome. The school also has a music festival coming up on February 1st at the Litchfield Eagles Club and tickets are on sale at St. Philip’s Church and School and at the Eagles Club.
