Time to Order Rotary Club Flowers
The Litchfield Rotary Club is continuing to sell roses and fall bouquets. The fall bouquets or a dozen roses – either red or an assorted color arrangement – may be ordered for just $25 each and the orders need to be in by October 15th.
One of the charter members of the Litchfield Rotary Club, Steve Kess, says this is one of the Club’s biggest fundraisers of the year and they use the proceeds for all kinds of community projects. He says the Litchfield Rotary Club has supported so many projects over the years including the helicopter pad at Meeker Memorial Hospital, development of Prairie Park, the Splash Pad at Memorial Park, the audio enhancement project at Lake Ripley Elementary School, the placement of outdoor AEDs in several Litchfield locations, and the Beds for Kids project which was started in 2012 and about 300 beds have been provided for children around Meeker County in the past 13 years.
Kess says the Rotary Club also supports many international projects such as eradicating polio in Third World countries and purchasing an ambulance in Guatemala. He says the Litchfield Rotary Club, which started in 1979, meets on Tuesday mornings at 7 a.m. for breakfast and a speaker in the Litchfield Fire/Rescue Hall and new members are welcome to join.
Kess says they sold about 800 bouquets last year and you can contact any Litchfield Rotary Club member to place your order. His phone number is 320-221-3066. The flowers will be available to be picked up later this month at Davis Auto Body on East Highway 12 and the dates and times are printed on the stub you receive when you place your order.
