Twine Ball Celebration
The annual Twine Ball celebration will be held tomorrow in Darwin. Several events are scheduled to help celebrate the town’s main claim to fame – the Largest Ball of Twine – created by one man (Francis Johnson) – in the world.
Saturday activities will begin in Darwin with the Twine K Run at 7:30 a.m., followed by sand volleyball at 8, kid’s pedal pull at 10, the All Saints raffle from 9-to-2 and a craft fair from 9-to-3. There will be a bean bag tournament Saturday in Darwin at 11, the Grand Day Parade at 12:30, and Minn-E-Rods at 2 p.m. There will be several food vendors in Darwin on Saturday.
