Two People Found Dead in Litchfield House Fire

On January 19th at approximately 2:12 A.M. the Litchfield Fire Department, Litchfield Police Department, Litchfield Rescue Squad, Dassel Fire Department, Grove City Fire Department, Mayo Ambulance, and the Meeker County’s Sheriff’s Department responded to a structure fire at a residence in the 400 block of South Austin Avenue in the city of Litchfield.

The structure was an attached garage and residence, which were a total loss. The bodies of Gregri Johnson and Barbara Johnson, both 73 years old, were located inside the residence.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Litchfield Police Department, Litchfield Fire Department, State Fire Marshalls Office, and Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office.
