Windmill Days Celebration
The Windmill Days celebration is coming up this weekend in Grove City. Many of the events over the weekend will be centered in Windmill Park.
There will be food trucks and vendors all day on Friday, along with garage sales, a medallion hunt, a community lunch at Grove Bank from 11-to-1, a swap meet at the park from 3-to-9 p.m., a bean bag tournament at 6 p.m., Lions Club Bingo at Trinity Lutheran Church at 7 p.m., and entertainment by Razz from 5-to-8 p.m., and Oasis from 8-to-midnight.
The swap meet continues on Saturday in Windmill Park from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the food trucks and vendors will open at 7 o’clock Saturday morning. The 2nd annual 1K Donut & Beer Walk will begin at 8 a.m. There will be 3-on-3 basketball in the high school gym beginning at 9:30 a.m. The Jolly Ramblers will perform from 11-to-1. Mud Volleyball begins in Windmill Park Saturday at 11 a.m., along with a dunk tank.
There will be inflatables for kids from 1-to-4 p.m., and then entertainment including Melinda Ruprecht Concertina from 2-to-4 p.m., Whisky Rocks from 4-to-7 p.m., and a street dance with Mark Stone and Dirty Country Band from 7-to-midnight.
Sunday’s activities in Grove City will include open trap shooting from noon-to-6 p.m., and the Windmill Days Parade at 1:30 – along Lindstrom Avenue West and on 2nd Street from Lindstrom Avenue to Pacific Avenue. After the parade, there will be fire truck rides and a dunk tank at the fire hall, and the royalty coronation at 4 p.m. For more details, find the Grove City Windmill Days Facebook page.
