MAM Christmas Carols & Holiday Cheer Event

Meeker Area Ministries continues to help local homeless people to get their lives turned around and to transition into permanent housing. Everyone can learn more about the organization during the Christmas Carols and Holiday Cheer event on December 4th at 7 p.m. at the Litchfield Opera House.

Rochelle Brummond says, besides enjoying music and refreshments, people can learn more about Meeker Area Ministries. She says they are going to have a gentleman speak during the December 4th event at the Litchfield Opera House about how their program turned his life around.

Brummond says many of the people they help now are the elderly, and the families that they’ve mentored include lots of children and they need to have stability. Julie Pennertz says kids cannot do well in school if they are not in stable housing.
