Former WCCO TV reporter and news anchor Liz Collin will be in Litchfield on Tuesday evening for an event at the Litchfield Opera House from 6-to-8 p.m. Collin now works for Alpha News and has written a book titled “They’re Lying.”
Collin says her book calls out the far left media and leaders following the death of George Floyd. She says she documented events at that time and had a good perspective as a reporter and anchor and her husband was a Lieutenant on the Minneapolis Police Dept. at the time and president of the police union and she found herself being demoted at her workplace.
Collin says she does a weekly podcast for Alpha News and she’s working on a documentary in which people may contribute financially or find more information at alphanewsmovie.com. She says she will be speaking about the media side and her husband, Bob Kroll, will be along with the police perspective and books will be available for sale Tuesday evening at the Litchfield Opera House.
Collin says they’ve had no protesters at their events, so far. She says if anyone can’t make it, they should go to thelieexposed.com. There’s no charge to attend Tuesday’s event, but $50 refundable contributions to the Meeker County Republicans will be accepted.
The Minnesota State Patrol responded to a 2-vehicle crash in Lake Henry Township on Thursday morning at 6:11. It occurred on Highway 4 at 240th Street. A 2012 Chevy Silverado – driven by 21-year-old Tyler Michael Tougas of Avon – was westbound on County Road 32, and a 2004 Freightliner semi was southbound on Highway 4 when the vehicles collided. The semi was driven by 44-year-old Troy Joseph Kruzel of Little Falls. He was not injured. Tougas received non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the Paynesville Hospital. Also responding to the scene were the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, Lake Henry Fire Dept. and Paynesville Ambulance.
On Wednesday, the CEE-VI Drug & Gang Task Force executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence in the 400 block of 13th Street Northwest in Willmar. A 40-year-old Willmar man – who is a self-admitted Latin King Gang member – was arrested during this case which involves methamphetamine trafficking in the CEE-VI service area.
During the search, Task Force agents located approximately 6 ½-ounces of methamphetamine and 11-ounces of psilocybin mushrooms. In addition, agents recovered over 3-pounds of marijuana, 2-pounds of BHO (butane hash oil) and marijuana edibles that were packaged for sale. Agents also located a handgun and a large amount of cash believed to be the proceeds from drug sales.
