97-year-old HILDEGARD E. ORNBERG of Litchfield passed away on Sunday February 23 at Ecumen Memory Care in Litchfield. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday February 28, 2025 at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. 

Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Litchfield.

Hildegard is survived by her children – Jean (James) Schreiner of Barrett, Bob (Su) Ornberg of Litchfield, Greg Ornberg of Litchfield, Carolyn (Lee) Carlson of Owatonna, and Steve Ornberg of Zimmerman

11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren

83-year-old TERRY A. BRAATEN of Litchfield passed away on Thursday February 13, 2025 at the Meeker Manor in Litchfield.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Friday February 21, 2025 at Johnson Hagglund Funeral and Cremation. Visitation will be held from noon until the 1:30 P.M. service. The funeral service will be livestreamed at www.johnsonhagglund.com.

Burial will be held at Lake Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield. Military honors will be provided by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard.

Terry is survived by his children – Cassandra “Cassie” Braaten of Sioux Falls, SD, Michael (& Kristie) Braaten of Centennial, CO and their children – Oliver and Maxwell, and Alexander (& Dezaray) Braaten of Hopkins.

A memorial service for 85-year-old BOYD NELSON will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. at First English Lutheran Church in Faribault. Visitation will be one hour before the service.

Burial will be in Grove City at a later date.

93-year-old GRACE M. KAPING of Litchfield passed away on Monday February 10, 2025 at her home. 

A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday February 17, 2025 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in rural Cosmos.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  The service will be livestreamed at www.johnsonhagglund.com.

Burial will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cedar Mills Township.  

78-year-old LYNNEA M. STAY of Annandale passed away on Saturday, February 8, at her home under the care of Hospice and her family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 12, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church of Annandale, with visitation one hour before the service.

Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery.

Lynnea is survived by her sons – Gene Erpelding of Watkins, Steve Erpelding of Watkins and Brad & Jen Erpelding of Richmond

Grandchildren – Blake, Samantha, Johnathan, Brady and Jordan

Siblings – Carol & Herman Fasching and Ronald Wurm; and her nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

101-year-old MAYMIE ECKER passed away on Thursday, February 6th at the Hilltop Care Center in Watkins. 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 11 a.m. at Zion United Methodist Church of South Haven, with visitation one hour before the service.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Maymie is survived by her nieces and nephews – Karen Monaghan, Richard & Dory Ecker, Bonnie & Jim Kirchhofer, Nancy Weir, Carol & Connie Leppa-Miller, Larry Leppa, David Ecker, Bill & Elaine Ecker, Steve & Sue Ecker, Dianne & Craig Smith, Laurie & Bill Welz and Kathy Ecker; many great-nieces, great-nephews, friends, and the students that she taught over the years.
