77-year-old RODNEY R. SOMMERFELD of Litchfield passed away on Friday March 7, 2025 at Bethany Assisted Living in Litchfield.
A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday March 13, 2025 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Litchfield. The service will be livestreamed at www.johnsonhagglund.com.
Visitation will be held from 4-to-7 P.M. on Wednesday at Johnson Hagglund Funeral and Cremation in Litchfield, and will continue one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be held at Lake Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield. Military Honors will be provided by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard.
Rodney is survived by his children – Sara Shoutz of Litchfield, Jennifer (John) Condon of Eagle Bend and Wesley (Teri) Sommerfeld of Big Lake
Grandchildren – Zoe Shoutz, Cryus Shoutz, Lucas Condon, Emma Condon, Aiden Matthews, Harlo Lind and Nienna Palmer
Mother-in-law – Darlene Holmberg
Brothers-in-law and Sister in law – Brian (Joan) Holmberg of Nisswa, Kent (Janet) Holmberg of McGregor, Chad (Mary) Holmberg of Grove City, Curt Holmberg of Eden Valley and Jocelyn Holmberg of Buffalo; and many nieces, nephews and cousins
