93-year-old DORIS L. WELKER of Litchfield passed away on Wednesday July 30, 2025 at the Lakeside Generations Health Care Center in Dassel. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday August 4, 2025 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Litchfield.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. 

Burial will be held at Lake Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield.

Doris is survived by her children – Richard (and Mary) Welker of Litchfield, Di Ann (and Sid)

96-year-old WILFRED RALPH HUISMAN of Litchfield passed away Wednesday, July 23 at his home.

A visitation was held at Johnson Hagglund Funeral Home from 1:30-to-3 P.M., with a 3 P.M. Funeral Service on Sunday, July 27, with family burial at Lake Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield.

Wilfred is survived by his wife of 73 years – Geraldine

Children – Brenda, Kevin, Ellen (& Kent) Griswold, Donna, Wayne (& Lori), and Warren (&Elizabeth)

Grandchildren – Amanda Anderson, Nicholas, Thomas (& Jody), Kurtis (& Jennifer), Deidre, Carlin, Kyle, Lauren (& John) Henley and Brooke

7 great grandchildren and by many nieces, nephews and special friends.

85-year-old DAVID WINFIELD PIERCE of Litchfield passed away on July 21st, at Meeker Memorial Hospital. 

A memorial will be held at Johnson-Hagglund funeral home in Litchfield on Monday, July 28th, from 5-to-7 p.m. 

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 29th, at First Lutheran Church in Litchfield, at 11 a.m., with visitation beginning one hour prior. 

Following Tuesday’s funeral service, Dave’s family and friends are invited to Chilstrom Hall at First Lutheran Church for a time of fellowship and lunch.  Burial will be held afterward at the Eagle Lake Lutheran Church Cemetery in Willmar.

Dave is survived by his children – Gary (Laurie) Pierce, Kathy (Dan) Lotzer, and Michael Pierce

Grandchildren – Timothy, Michael, Megan, and Amy

81-year-old RAYMOND JUSTISON of Merrifield, MN passed away on July 19, 2025.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Crosslake Lutheran Church with visitation one hour before the service.

Burial will follow at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.

Ray is survived by his wife – Rosalie Justison 

Children – Dan (Stacy) Justison of Litchfield and stepson Michael Espelund of Willmar

Daughter-in-law – Mary Gjerdahl

Grandchildren – Cassy Justison, Doug, John, and Dan Gjerdahl, Angela and Becca

78-year-old WALTER DAVID JOHNSON of Tombstone, AZ – formerly of Grove City – passed away on December 18, 2024 in Tucson, AZ.

A celebration of Walt Johnson’s life will be held on Saturday, July 26th from 4-to-8 p.m. at O’Neil’s at 152 Lake Avenue in Spicer, with a time of prayer and reflection at 5 p.m.

Walt’s surviving family members include Julianne Johnson of Hickory, NC, daughters – Whitney (& Richard) Greiffenstein of Hopkins and Kelsey (& Alexandru) Leaghi of Hickory, NC; son – Haakon (& Carly) Johnson of Manhattan, MT; grandchildren – Lucia and Oliver Greiffenstein, Esme Leaghi and Rhone and Sullivan Johnson; and sisters – Pauline Willems and Ruth Lietzau.
